Ourania Karolina Koliopoulou

Ourania Karolina Koliopoulou is a graduate of the medical school of the University of Athens. She has been specialized in obstetrics  and gynecology at the general hospital Elena Venizelou. She has been awarded the doctorate of the University of Athens with honours. She has worked as a clinical fellow at the department of fetal medicine of  the  2nd obstetrics and gynecology clinic of the University of Athens. She has worked as an operating theatre assistant in Mitera hospital, where she has also worked by performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds. She has been trained in biomedical acupuncture and she is a member of the educational team of the acupuncture postgraduate school Acuscience, where she teaches to medical doctors, the application of biomedical acupuncture in obstetrics and gynecology. She has been involved in greek and international research projects. She is an author of several publications in greek and international scientific journals. She has participated in medical congresses and postgraduate seminars. She has participated in school-based educational programs of adolescent students. She has authored health education articles in general journals as well as at her personal webpage www.drkoliopoulou.gr and she has participated in health education television shows. Currently she works as an obstetrician- gynecologist in the private practice,  at her clinic in Athens, collaborating with Mitera hospital. She provides voluntary medical services to the youth house adolescents of SOS Children’s Village.
